Melissa A. Springer
Melissa is an associate in Kohnen & Patton’s Litigation Practice Group. She practices in areas including insurance law, employment law, construction litigation, homeowner’s disputes, products liability, personal injury and general tort and contract litigation. She strives to create custom solutions for her clients while delivering legal services of a quality consistent with the highest standards of practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Melissa focused her practice on product liability litigation and the defense of pharmaceutical, medical device, and mass and toxic tort claims, and represented a diverse array of clients in multidistrict, coordinated, and consolidated proceedings, as well as putative class actions and “one-off” product liability suits.
Melissa earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She served as Executive Editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review and received the Eugene M. Corbin Memorial Award, recognizing her academic achievements in the areas of trial practice, business, and taxation. She was also selected to participate in a regional Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, during her first year of law school.
Melissa is a Cincinnati native and a local sports enthusiast. She enjoys spending time with her wife, son, and two dogs. Melissa also is an avid tennis player and hiker, and enjoys cooking and baking delectable delicacies for her family.
