When Disaster Strikes: Coverage Implications of the Florida Condo Collapse

Kimberly Kyle recently spoke at the ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee seminar in Tucson, Arizona.  At that seminar, she was part of a panel which discussed “When Disaster Strikes: Coverage Implications of the Florida Condo Collapse.”   This panel discussed the various insurance implications related to CGL, homeowners, property, and D&O coverages when a large scale disaster occurs, such as the Champlain Towers collapse that occurred in Surfside, Florida on June 24, 2021.  The coverage issues discussed during the panel are applicable to multiple claims, not just a disaster such as the Champlain Towers collapse.  If you have any questions regarding coverages for contractors, inspectors, condominium or homeowners’ associations and their board members, and other allegedly culpable parties in such situations, Ms. Kyle is happy to discuss those issues with you.  Please feel free to contact her at any time.
