Paralegal Career Details
Kohnen & Patton is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Paralegal to support our firm; the majority of the work will be focused in Litigation. This role requires a versatile professional who can manage competing priorities, work collaboratively with attorneys and staff across multiple practice areas, and provide high-quality legal and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Support
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
- Manage case files from inception through trial and post-judgment.
- Coordinate and track deadlines, court dates, and statute of limitations.
- Assist with discovery, including document review, organization, and production.
- Prepare deposition summaries, trial binders, exhibits, and witness files.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- Additional Responsibilities as Needed

Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- 3+ years of paralegal experience; experience in litigation strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of court rules and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with billing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
