Mr. Patton is "Of Counsel" to Kohnen & Patton. He started with the firm at its founding in March 1974 and served as a Partner until 2007. Mr. Patton also serves as a mediator for Tower Mediation. He is a life long resident of Cincinnati and a graduate of Miami University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

He has broad experience in many areas of civil litigation and dispute resolution. He has tried and arbitrated a number of professional liability, legal and medical malpractice suits, commercial disputes and a wide variety of personal injury matters.

Mr. Patton represents and advises clients in corporate, estate planning and probate matters in association with attorneys practicing primarily in those areas. Mr. Patton has represented clients before a number of administrative boards, including zoning boards, workers compensation boards and the Ohio Industrial Commission. He has represented the appropriating agencies in several major eminent domain proceedings in Hamilton County, Ohio. He has also acted as an arbitrator and mediator in commercial cases.

Mr. Patton is licensed in Ohio and is admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and for the Southern District of Indiana, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits. He has been admitted to practice, pro hac vice, in a number of state and federal courts.

Mr. Patton has been recognized as one of Ohio’s Super Lawyers by Law & Politics in conjunction with Cincinnati Magazine.
