Ms. Gores is a partner in the Business Law and Transactions Practice Group, focusing on small and start-up businesses, and in the Estate Planning and Administration Practice Group. Before joining Kohnen & Patton, Ms. Gores had a successful career as a business owner. She was president of Drew’s Bookshop, Inc., an independent bookstore in Hyde Park Square, from 1980 through 1994. While president of the bookstore, Ms. Gores served several terms as vice-president of the Hyde Park Square Business Association. She also served for approximately 20 years as a member of the Environmental Quality Urban Design (EQUD) Committee, a working committee of both the Hyde Park Business Association and the Hyde Park Neighborhood Council. During her years as an EQUD Committee member she gained valuable experience in the practical workings of the City of Cincinnati’s Zoning Department, Planning Commission and the Department of Buildings and Inspections.

Ms. Gores graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2001. While in law school she received the Chase Excellence Scholarship Award. She was also a member of the Northern Kentucky Law Review and received the Most Valuable Law Review Staff Member award in 2000. Ms. Gores received the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council Merit Award and was elected to the Order of the Curia, for graduating in the top 10% of the class. Ms. Gores has been named a Rising Star Super Lawyer by Law & Politics in conjunction with Cincinnati Magazine.
