Alethea Teh Busken is an associate in Kohnen & Patton’s Estate Planning practice group. During law school, she externed with the Kentucky Innocence Project, was a student clinician with the Volunteer Lawyers Project Wills Clinic at Legal Aid of Greater Cincinnati, and served as president of the Chase College of Law American Constitution Society.
In a previous life, Alethea earned a BA in Spanish and a BS in Sociology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She was a civilian linguist for the Army and the Department of Justice before moving to Cincinnati where she worked for the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati for many years in non-profit development, grant administration, and direct services. Alethea grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, was a missionary in East Los Angeles for 18 months, and speaks fluent Spanish.
Alethea loves yoga and the arts, volunteerism and kindness. She is devoted to her daughter and determined to find balance between home and work life. Alethea loves her estate planning practice and operates under the philosophy that a good estate plan is the last loving gift a client can give to his or her loved ones.
